Well, you found what I tend to call my "hole in the wall" on the Internet. People will arrive here for various reasons and with widely varying intents. Many will just stumble here because they saw the link in one of my profiles on the many communities I take part in. Others may be here because they're interested in my work or are looking to get in contact with me for whatever reason. Hopefully this site will soothe the various reasons you, the visitor, may be here.
The obvious is that my name is Bobby Hensley. I'm twenty (20) years old and I reside in Keene, New Hampshire (USA). I take the phrase "you only live once" to heart and through that I have a tendancy to put aside any fear of uncertainty and just do what I feel is neccassry at that given moment. When I was younger that didn't always turn out so well, haha. But I like to believe I've come to be sporadic in a more responsible and civilized manner since then.
When I'm not holed up at home sitting in front of the PC you can almost certainly find me out with friends. While it's not very characteristic of many programmers, I like to keep a healthy social life and consider myself an outgoing person.
As for what I do at the PC: I am a web developer by heart. I have about 8 years of solid experience with (X)HTML, CSS, PHP , MySQL, JavaScript/JQuery and XML/RSS/Atom. I also keep up with the current trends in the Web 2.0 concept including RIA (Rich Internet Applications), AJAX and JSON.
While I will continue to keep up with my currnet skillet I am also looking for the "next best thing" to include to it. Which means that at the current time I am learning more about Ruby; specifically the gem, Ruby on Rails. In fact, the site you're viewing right now has been rendered through Ruby on Rails. Aside from that I work on C++ here and there, specifically with Qt- a cross-platform framework.
Well I've probably spoken enough about myself.
